Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

A few of the things patients ask us most. If your question is not here, just call and our team will be glad to help.

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes. We happily welcome new patients of all ages, from young children to seniors. You can request an appointment online or call us at (925) 935-1933 to get started.

Do you take my dental insurance?

We accept and file most PPO dental insurance plans and will help you understand and maximize your benefits. Because plans vary, the best step is to call us with your plan details and we will verify your coverage before treatment.

What if I am nervous about seeing the dentist?

You are in good company, and you are in the right place. Helping anxious patients feel comfortable is something Dr. Nunnery and the team are known for. We go at your pace, explain everything in plain language, and never pressure you.

Do you see children?

Absolutely. We care for the whole family and love seeing kids. We keep early visits gentle and positive so children grow up comfortable with the dentist. A first visit is generally recommended around age one or within six months of the first tooth.

I have a dental emergency. Can you help?

Yes. Being there for patients in pain is one of the things we are proudest of. Call the office as early in the day as you can and we will work to get you assessed and out of pain. For severe swelling affecting breathing or major facial trauma, call 911.

How often should I have a cleaning and checkup?

Most patients do well with a cleaning and exam every six months, while some benefit from a more frequent schedule. We tailor the interval to your individual needs rather than a generic rule.

What payment and financing options do you offer?

We accept major payment methods and offer CareCredit, a healthcare financing option that lets you pay for treatment over time. We will always review costs with you before treatment so there are no surprises.

Where are you located and what are your hours?

We are at 301 Lennon Lane, Suite 103, Walnut Creek, CA 94598, near the Pleasant Hill and Lafayette borders. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

How long has the practice been in Walnut Creek?

Dr. Nunnery has cared for the Walnut Creek community since 1989. Many of our patients have been with us for decades, and we now care for multiple generations of the same families.

Do you offer cosmetic dentistry like whitening and veneers?

Yes. We provide professional teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, tooth-colored fillings and crowns, and full smile makeovers, all designed to look natural. A cosmetic consultation is the best place to start.
