General Dentistry
Gentle removal of teeth that cannot be saved, with surgical and impacted cases referred to an oral surgeon.
Whenever possible, we work to save your natural teeth. But sometimes a tooth is too damaged, decayed, or loose to keep, and removing it is the healthiest path forward. When that is the case, we make the experience as calm and comfortable as we can.
For straightforward extractions of teeth that have erupted normally, we numb the area thoroughly and remove the tooth gently, then give you clear aftercare instructions to support smooth healing. We will also talk through your options for replacing the tooth, such as an implant restoration or a bridge, so you can plan ahead.
Not every extraction belongs in a general dentist’s office, and we are honest about that. Surgical extractions, impacted teeth, and most wisdom teeth are referred to a trusted oral surgeon who handles these every day. We coordinate the referral and your follow-up care.
If you are in pain or have a tooth that may need to come out, call us and we will get you evaluated promptly.

Patients with a severely decayed, fractured, or loose tooth that cannot be restored, or who need a tooth removed before other treatment. If you are unsure, we are glad to evaluate and give you a straight answer.
We extract only when a tooth truly cannot be saved, and we plan for what comes next so you are never left with a gap and no path forward.
Extractions are covered by most plans. We will review costs for the extraction and any planned tooth replacement in advance.
We numb the area completely so the extraction itself is comfortable. Mild soreness afterward is normal and is managed well with simple measures we will explain.
Most wisdom teeth, especially impacted ones, are best handled by an oral surgeon. We evaluate them and refer you to a trusted specialist when surgery is needed.
Common options include an implant restoration or a fixed bridge. We will review the trade-offs so you can choose what fits your needs and budget.
New patients are always welcome. Request an appointment online or call our Walnut Creek office and our friendly team will take care of the rest.
